Spring Sweethearts

New relationships and blossoming love spurred this painting on. Because my husband and I are avid swing dancers and also instructors,we get  the pleasure
of seeing so many people meeting in dance classes and falling in love. It's an awesome way to connect with someone. From the very get-go, you have something in common---wanting to learn to partner dance.
I love the joyful, happy energy of this piece. It always makes me smile. Sure hope it makes you smile too.

Happy Campers

So, by now you know my passionate addiction for painting wild, bold flowers. Especially white ones..... It's so exciting and endlessly fascinating to try and capture their vibrant energy with paint and brush, and whatever else I have handy at the time. This painting is one of my all time favorites. The flower is set free in this piece. That's how I'd like to feel all the time! Luckily enough, most of the time I do. I hope this painting gives you that same sense of letting go and being in the moment. I'm convinced the world would be a much happier place if we could all live by that philosophy. Smiling Rocks!

Dance Partners

Radiant white Cone Flowers grace the gardens here in town. So much like white daisies, but with a much larger and showier center. They are such beauties. They seem so strong and sturdy with ample stems, yet at the same time, so delicate. This pair just looks like they want to leap out onto the dance floor! Maybe that's just me and my antsy self waiting patiently to finish this painting knowing I'm going to get to go out tonight and cut a rug!
