Tumultuous Seas

Another magnificent, blustery day on the Mendocino Coast. I captured the giant wave in this painting as it was crashing far out at sea, smashing relentlessly against the rocks. What tremendous power the ocean delivers. I'm sure glad I was on the land, and not out on a boat this particular day!

Storm Front

Being in daily contact with the ocean, rocks, and sky, make this the most magical place to live. What an incredible blessing it is to get to spend so many years enjoying life here on the Mendocino Coast. The ever-changing colors of the sea and sky are glorious. From turquoise to cobalt and everything in between.
The daily transitions taking place always inspire me to delve into my painting
supplies. I hope this piece evokes the feeling of Mother Nature's incredible energy.

Sparkling Bouquet

Another joy for me is to paint when the evening is coming around, with the light helping to make those sparkling white flowers pop out like stars, vibrant and alive, just like the Milky Way above.

This painting is an acrylic on 7.25 x 10.50 paper, mounted on 11 x 14 painted canvas panel.
