This painting was created where Big River and Mendocino Bay unite. The variety of colors, moods, and intensitythis scene can take on is truly mind-boggling. Each day totally different than the next. I painted this a few days after a storm where the muddy tones of the water had once again returned to their glowing blues and greens. At the same time the waves retained their large, storm-like quality. If you haven't visited here, I hope this painting inspires you to do so.
